I took the boat out Sun. afternoon, not really to fish but to sight-see. I started off going to the south fork. In the main SF channel, which is usually 1.5-3' deep, it was 12'+. Water temp in the SF varied 67-70*. I was able to access many of the small hidden coves, which were not so small! Towards the end of some coves, near the Middle School, were several hundreds of Tilapia, that were busting on the shad. Several Tucs floating around also. I tried the Senkos, chart. spinners, and a shad looking softbait. Tucs weren't interested. A near-by shore fishermen caught a nice Tuc, probably 2#er. He said he was using a fly, irritating it.
I cruised out to the main basin and up the north fork. Waters are easily navigatible all the way up to the rapids! I saw a few other boats on the lake, all reporting nothing going on with the fishing.
We're usually looking up at the second level cement barrier
Here are the three cement filled blue barrels on the way to the main basin
Whats left of Morgan's Point!
I usually park under this tree by Quansan Hut to eat lunch. Can't see but the tree branchs are in the water!
North fork rapids
The Rapids are still flowing "rapidly!"
