Lots of casting with assorted lures and live bait... nothing. We started working the shore line down to County yard. A few chases. Did see lots of red devils, but any cast near them would send them racing in panic to deep water. They didn't even like live bait.
Moved down to Mikimiki Pt..... Larger fish chasing small baitfish up onto the shore and also saw some schooling fish. Ming finally caught this one on a little gold CastMaster.
He and Keith caught several more schooling fish (CastMaster again) as we moved slowly down into the main basin and around Kemoo Island. (no pictures,,, they were practicing "sportsmans release" as the fish came within 10 feet of the boat)
Shad were every where. Looked like raindrops on the surface. I even foul hooked one on a lure. The schooling fish were busting the shad schools on the surface.... but it only lasted a few seconds and was usually way out of casting range.
We still had a great time visiting, and they even got to bend a rod several times.
