Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Tim and Roxi from Nebraska. They came all the way to Hawaii to catch a fish... a tilapia of all things. Well they didn't catch one, but Tim was able to cross Hawaii off his list of 50 states he's fished. This makes state # 31 where he has caught a freshwater fish. He was also able to add 3 new fish to his list of species caught.
The Red Devil
The Peacock Bass
And this tough little fighter....
According to Ken and Larry, It's
a Barred Midas (Amphilophus citrinellus)

Roxie did her share of catching. Her first cast landed a huge bluegill. She also caught her first fish on a fly rod. This red devil... I think we have "hooked" another fly fisherman.... she's already talking about taking casting classes.
Look it was a double strike.....
Now that's how to celebrate a wedding anniversary.
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your "special day".
Aloha,
Stan
