Peacock Action

Postby Stan Wright » Wed Feb 11, 2009 4:57 pm

Chris told me they caught 30+ peacock bass this morning.... Well, I had to drag it out of him. (- He thinks I tell everyone all his secrets -)

He finally admitted the peacock bass were schooling. He wouldn't say anything else...

So, I figure he was fishing in the area between Boy Scout Island and the Dam. (that's where they've been schooling all week)
I sneaked a look at the rods and he was using the little gold Castmasters, 2 inch white Senkos, and the small white Bass Assassins.

Fish ranged is size from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pounds.

Now don't tell anyone!

Water is high enough to run the boat through the saddle at Boy Scout Island.... Fish are scattered, but still biting. Not as many schooling fish. today.
Water is still clear.
:D
Best time to go fishing?..... when ever you can get off to go.
