We worked the North Fork most of the morning and got chased by some really nice size peacock bass. Tagged one Largemouth. The fish would make one chase and then nothing. They were not that aggressive.
Someone was catching fish at Blue Boat Pt. so we pulled in and tossed out a few live bait...... constant action with mostly 1 1/2 to 2 pound size peacock bass.
That is fun when your using ultra light spinning rods and 4# test line.
I had 100 feeder fish from the pet store in a 5 gallon bucket. Using a battery powered air pump and adding ice every so often kept the bait nice and lively. We used up almost all the bait in a little over 1 1/2 hour before we had to leave. We had lots of fun.
I hope Jeff sends me some pictures.
Come over to the dark side, Luke.
Try the live bait.
