Sun-Tues Report, Nov. 27

Postby Stan Wright » Tue Nov 27, 2007 2:44 pm

Talked to Clay from Nervous Water Fly Shop. They got 20 something peacock bass on Sunday. Fished pretty much all over the lake catching fish here and there. Some schooling action, and then fishing deep when the schooling stopped. Also worked a lot of shoreline. He said he saw some people catching using live bait. But no one was fishing at Morgans Point or Blue Boat Point when he went by there.

Fish were averaging about a pound, but the larger ones were around too. His largest for the day was 3 1/2.

Chris fished a 1/2 day AM on Tues. Figured they got 12 to 14 fish. "All small ones"... so that means around one pound. :D
He was also fishing all over the place. Caught a few schooling. The fish were only on the surface a few seconds and "it was dog luck" if you hooked one. Mostly they worked the shore line.

Lures: small white or pink Senkos... (the 2 inch kind). and his "Japan lures" ( he refuses to show me these "Japan Lures".... they are his secret stash )
Also use just about any minnow type lure.

Seems the action is scattered all over and is mostly the smaller fish.
But lots of fun on 4# test line.... especially when that 4 pounder grabbed the lure right next to the boat. ( the guy is suppose to send me pictures)
