Here's what happens when you have Japanese lures and someone who knows how to fish them… Just a few of the many species of fish they caught.
I don't remember ever catching one of those gar on a lure before, and he caught 3 of them… Also red devils and 5-bar generals. You should have seen the huge peacock bass that broke the line. Those jumps will live in his memory forever. LOL

Stan I'm surprised you haven't hooked a needlefish on Tenkara gear yet, seems like the perfect size flies for them.
I remember when those needlefish were first spotted in the Lake and all the eggheads saying they would cause the apocalypse, same as snakeheads on the Mainland. Speaking of which anyone seem a decent pongee in the Lake recently. Last one I saw was over 20 years ago.
