Got this from Glenn Perry…I'm pretty sure it's not an oscar…
Stan

Hi Stan hey I hooked into this the other afternoon. You seen this before? I'm thinking its a big oscar but not sure. I shot vid and it had teeth! It fought like a tuke too man what a ride! I've been on a few thousand Columbia river smallmouths and hooked em over 6 lbs this was a close second! Enjoy, Glenn

I am pretty sure that is a Jack Dempsey, had one for years, looks like it was mating at the time.

You're probably right, doesn't look blue enough to be a Jack Dempsey.

Hey Stan, have you seen any oscars lately? I haven't seen one in awhile.

I totally agree with Basstracker and Baires722, it's a Jaguar Cichlid. I landed one back in Aug as well. 17inches going 3 lbs. I too thought it was a TUC the way it was fighting. up to this very day I have not caught another.
