Lake Level Rises 8 feet

Postby Stan Wright » Wed May 29, 2013 6:25 am

Just checked the water level at Lake Wilson and it looks like it rose 8 feet last night during the flash flood.

Is it just me or does it seem that just about the time the fishing really starts getting good, it rains, the lake level shoots up and..... ? What a spring we're having.

I just stopped by the boat ramp this am. Water is high and muddy. I'm guessing the bite is off due to the rapid change.

:(
No peacock bass caught but did see lots of bluegill... rubbish and trash floating all over the lake must bring the bluegills out to feed.

Seems like all spring the fishing would get good and then it would rain and raise the lake level... after a week or 2 the fishing starts to get good and it rains again....
