Dream Day... Raining Fish

Postby Stan Wright » Fri Sep 07, 2012 8:13 pm

:D
Chris was very excited... it had turned out to be one of those days where the fish were schooling and it was called "catching, not "fishing".

They fished schooling fish from around 9:00 to 1:00. Then started checking out the North Fork.

Not as much action so they headed back to the schooling fish, tied on the CastMasters, and started catching again.

There were lots of bass early on, but the peacock bass showed up in force as the day wore on. It rained all day.

I guess because of the rain, the fish were really turned on and schooling. Gorging on the shad... One of those days you dream about.
The rain kept everyone off the lake.

3:00 pm and NO ONE in the parking lot. Not even those guys drinking in the corner.

Yes it was! Started off the day slow but when I got to the "money" spot, it was on! There were some big fish in those schools! Rained pretty hard but well worth the bite today! Best schooling action I've experienced on the lake!

I believe it! Seen some real monsters in those schools. I caught back to back fish each over two pounds. The great thing is both tucs and largemouth are schooling together. It's pretty awesome action out there!! Hope it holds up for Sunday!
