hi everyone,
I have been lurking for a month or so and decided to join. Never really fished before, but I recently came back from a trip to Florida where I tried it. Fell in love with it. Now, I am looking to become a decent fishermen. Friend gave me a nice reel and rod, and saltwater lures. Any tips on freshwater lures and techniques?

Probably the best bet is to get you out on the lake one of these days and show you around.
