I was feeling lazy yesterday so I tried something I had been thinking about for a while. Instead of going to the boat ramp, I stayed on the highway a little longer and pulled over just past Kunia road. I was right by one of those blue "Attention Fishers" signs. I'd seen guys park there to fish from the bank. The path down to the lake looked doable so I threw the yak on my head and hoofed it down. This put me directly across from Boy Scout Island. I'm not sure if it's legal and I'm not sure it was safe to leave my car there but it cut my paddle time each way from 20 minutes to 10 seconds.

I think that would be a lot better place to put in than behind Kemoo Farm... with the water level way down anyway.
