Cops arrrest/rescue Lake Wilson swimmer

Lake Wilson, Wahiawa.

At least 2 of 3 men trying to flee from police were arrested along the banks and in the water of Lake Wilson.

Police flagged down a passing boat to help capture one man as he attempted to swim accross the lake. "The guy was almost accross the lake when we pulled up beside him. He had asthma or something, and was having trouble breathing. He grabbed the boat and ask for help." said the boat owner. Police quickly handcuffed the man and pulled him into the boat. Another man was spotted trying to hide in the mud and grass at the edge of the lake and surrendered when the boat pulled up to him.

"It was wild, these three guys running along the side of the lake down by the water. It's a steep muddy bank with lots of logs and they kept falling and sliding into the water. I figured someone was chasing them, then we saw the Cops and they waved us over to help catch the guys." said the fisherman. "The helicopter circling over head and everything. They(police) had their guns out and everything and those guys just gave up." "I think one of the guys got away"
