Fish Tagging Started.

Last Sunday afternoon, Aug 23, We started our peacock bass tagging program. Right now Clay, Mike, and I have tagging guns. I tagged several at the City Yard area, and a bunch at Morgans Pt. I don't know about Clay, but Mike tagged fish around Morgans Pt for sure.
It's a little yellow spaghetti tag, one inch long with a number and a phone number on it. (Example: 3053 Phone 944-8514)
The tag is on the fishes back next to the dorsal fin... They are easy to see.
If you catch a tagged fish, please record the tag number, the length of the fish and where you caught it. (I've been writing down the weight of the fish too.)
Call the number and we'll get back to you with information about where it was tagged and how big it was.
I didn't choose 3053 in the example at random... I tagged 3053 Sunday at the City Yard area on the South Fork of the lake.... and caught it 2 days later at Morgans Pt., way up on the North Fork.
That little 13 inch one pound fish did some traveling.
Aloha,
Stan
This is how the tags look.
See the tag in the fishes back? Start at the fishing reel and look to the left.
