From looking at the web sit, I'm guessing that the Wahiawa State Freshwater Fishing Park is closed.

Anyone been by there? Is the Boat ramp closed?

My son Chris, runs a fishing guide service for saltwater fly fishing... Aloha Fishing Hawaii is the web site and Instagram page. Lots of pictures and videos.
Anyway... the state has shut down the business. No state facilities are to be used for business during the state shut down. He has a commercial permit to operate in state waters so like the other water and beach recreation businesses... All are Shut Down. Probably just a formality, since most of his clients are tourists... and no tourist are in town. All bookings have canceled.

On the other side of the coin... or lack of coin. Time is available to do those needed boat and tackle repairs... up grade equipment and restock the fly box.

The boat ramps in saltwater are open so people can take their boats and go saltwater fishing.
Too bad our boat ramp for Lake Wilson is in a "park"... and parks seem to be closed.
:(

So just heard they are opening parks to Exercise.
Does this mean Wahiawa will be open for launching to exercise our casting arms?
Would be nice! :D

Wahiawā Freshwater State Recreation Area is OPEN for day hiking use per Governor's proclamation. However, Day Use Facilities remain closed and access gates will be OPEN for parking access on weekends.

I just saw a Face Book post from a guy who took his boat out last weekend. So I guess the boat ramp is open... or at least no one was there to tell his mid wasn't. m LOL
