HI,

What kind of lures should I bring if I go fishing in Hawaii from the shore? I'm going to use 15# line on a Curado. I'm not really going to Hawaii but I suppose its similar to Hawaii (saltwater, tropics, coral reef, beach, etc). I'm just trying to get a response that I can apply.

Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

Most of the guys here use surface poppers, metal spoons, and minnow type lures. All of which will work.
We have a lure here called the Mark White lures. Mark does pottery, and started making lures from pottery clay. They are heavy and cast really good.
The lure comes with a treble hook with some colored feathers tied to it. Cast as far as you can and reel it in fast, splashing the surface to attract the fish.

If your around Waikiki, there is the Ala Was Canal and some ponds in Ala Moana Beach Park that have barracuda and small GT.
