Tuc fishing Saturday afternoon

Greetings All,
Just want to start by saying, "Thanks, for the great time Boyz"!
Had the great pleasure fishing with the Boyz (Mike-The Tracker Man, Larry-The Medic, Bill-The 70 horse power Master Baiter and Shane-Cool Hand Luke). You guys sure can fish!!!!!
Got started early this afternoon at the launch ramp, met Mike, who offered to take me out on his Tracker, could not turn him down, beats walking the shore. Mike gave me a quick tour, its been over 20 years, since I last fished Lake Wilson.
Headed out, fished a couple spots for small tucs and hand size large mouth bass. Finally met up with Bill, Shane and Larry, It was impressive to watch these guys fish. Sometimes it was the fire drill shuffle, over- under, under-over, just trying to stay lines free, from other fish. There were times, when we had four guys with "fish-on", going at the same time!
I was admit about fishing my large mouth ways(drop shot, small jerk baits) but the tucs today wanted the live stuff. Finally, after harassment from the boyz(its all good), I went to the "dark side" and used live bait. After a couple of tucs myself, it was "no shame". Tucs varied in size, 1/2 lb to about 4 lbs. It was a consistent bite for about 3 hours. Matter of fact, we left the fish bitting!
Overview: I was impressed to see, how healthy the tucs were. I caught a couple large mouth bass, size were really small. Though our focus were on Tucs, some of the waters we fished did not hold many large mouth bass. Back in the early 80's, there was also a large population of blue gills and talipia. I did not see any at all today. It's great to see the Tucs and large mouth bass are "catch and release" only. This species will only get better.
Again, can't thank the Boyz enough, you guys were great. Taught me a thing or two, about live bait fishing. Can't wait to go again.....
Remember, if your not live baitting, your not "Tuc fish'n". I'm not worthy!!!!
