SPAM Attack

Our regular visitors to the Forum page will have noticed some strange... non fishing related posts... we are under attack by spammers. I just finished deleting over 200 of these posts... doing this one at a time took well over an hour.

We are trying to redo the page to make it more difficult for spammers to possibly taking down the Form page from the web site.t... this is suppose to be a family friendly form for anglers to exchange ideas and ask questions about Lake Wilson and freshwater fishing in Hawaii.

There have been several suggestions about what to do to make it more difficult for spammers to post including...
Having each post personally approved before it can posted.
Canceling all memberships and starting over with each request being personally screened.
Just getting rid of the Forum Page altogether.

For the moment we'll try to catch the spammers as quickly as posable, block them from posting, and deleting the offensive spam.

I hope it's possible to keep the Forum up and running. It's important for the lake.
