I grew in the LA area my favorite places to go were castaic lake about an hour north of lax depending on traffic and pyramid lake an hour and a half north. Both lakes have great bass fishing from shore or boat and plenty of guides to take him out. Let me know any more questions you have.

And theres not really any rivers to bass fish in, about the only thing to catch in the LA river os brown trout and im not talking about the pretty ones.... :shock:
