I have my nephew's father-in-law visiting from Kalipornia this week, and he is a fishing nut mainly trout. Nephew want's me to take him fishing for Tucs. How is the water level, and how are the Tucs biting at Blue Boat point? Thinking of bringing my little canoe with 3hp motor.
Mahalo nui!

Lots of little fish available... under one pound. Both largemouth and peacock. Especially fun with a flyrod or light spinning tackle. There are enough 2 or 3 pounders to make it interesting.
I'm guessing the live bait would produce too.

Water level is at or just below the 68ft level. Lots of bank showing. BBP has been hit and miss from what I have heard, but I'm no expert on that style of fishing. Was out Saturday and did good , 3 bass all very healthy and fat out deep. And lots of Red Devils, catfish, and a few bluegills on dough balls and power bait from Berkeley. Good luck

Thank you for the input gentlemen. Maybe I'll finally bust out my tenkara rod on the lake, those mini bass look pretty fun. Maybe on Wednesday. If anyone sees a little yellow outrigger canoe with two guys on it it's probably me and Mel.
