Flies?

Hey Stan, I'm tying up some nymphs and hopefully some dry flies tomorrow in preparation for fishing in British Columbia in July (on my way back to Ontario from Hawaii).
Do nymph patterns work for red devils and other cichlids in the lake? I'm tying most of mine in #16 scud/shrimp style hooks...mainly pheasant tail, small black stonefly, hare's ears and some chironomids/midge nymphs.
For dries, I'll tie up a few elk/deer hair caddis, a few Griffiths Gnats, maybe a couple of Klinkhammers and maybe a midge dry fly pattern as well.
Do you think any of those dry flies are good for the lake?
I know this is directed to Stan...but please feel free to chime in everyone.
