New Fishing License
Well, it's that time of year again for me... time to buy a new Fishing License.
I just went on line and got mine this morning.
It's good for one year from the date of purchase.
https://www.ehawaii.gov/dlnr/fish/exe/f ... n_page.cgi
It's pretty easy, fill in your information, give them your credit card information, and print out the paper.
Sign and put in a Zip-Loc bag.
Cost is only $5 for Hawaii resident or active duty military.
Plus a $1 connivence fee. (if you get it on line)
The cost of a MINOR's Freshwater Fishing License is $4. This includes a $1 convenience fee, for purchasing online. If you prefer not to pay the convenience fee you may purchase your license at any fishing supply store or at the offices of the Division of Aquatic Resources located at 1151 Punchbowl St., Rm. 330, Honolulu, HI.
NON RESIDENT fee is $10 for a 7 day tourist license, or $20 for a 30 day license. One year non resident license is $25.
That's really cheep compared to other states.
(I paid $68 for a 7 day license in MT last year)
If you have over 65 years of fishing experience like me... it's FREE...

Wahiawa Public Fishing Area
There is one special requirement for entering the Wahiawa Public Fishing Area. Along with the fishing license you are purchasing today, you are required to carry a Wahiawa Public Fishing Area Entry Permit which you can obtain at no additional cost from a License Vendor at a local fishing supply store or from the Division of Aquatic Resources office.
