Bass Hatchery cleanup day 11/25

Postby shanai » Wed Nov 21, 2012 10:43 am

Hi,

There will be a hatchery cleanup on Sunday, November 25th, 2012 starting around 9:00 am for all of you that need an excuse as to why you can't go shopping with your significant other.

The bass hatchery is located on the grounds of Wahiawa Middle School ( 275 Rose Street Wahiawa, HI 96786 )

Some of the things that needs to be done at the hatchery: remove an old chest freezer, pick-up a donated freezer, setup an outdoor tank/pond, maintain, cut and clear grass and debris from around the hatchery grounds. Many hands will be needed especially when we setup the large tank/pond.

P.S. Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving

We'll also be constructing artificial habitat. Now is the perfect time to establish colonies of habitat so when/if the lake returns to its normal levels, bait fish will have a place to thrive and the bass will have places to hang out. 8)

Mahalos to the few who showed. Despite the low turn out, we got alot accomplished. Grass trimmed, artificial habitat constructed, and an outside pond set up. Thank you again for helping the organization that helps you.
