Tenkara Tip

Had a chance to visit with Albert Yi while he was in Hawaii for Christmas with relatives. He showed me a little fishing tip I want to pass along to everyone. When putting the end plug on his Tenkara rods, Albert leaves an inch or so of the Lilian sticking out. That way, the next time he's attaching the fly line to the lilian there is no chance of breaking off the fine tip of the rod where the lilian is attached. Having already snapping an inch off of 2 rods while attaching the fly line...
I think this is a great trick for me to start using in the future.
