The HFFA is looking at sponsoring a pond management specialist to assess the status of Lake Wilson who will provide a management plan and recommendations on how to improve and sustain the freshwater fisheries at Lake Wilson.

The HFFA will be selling a guided one hour boat tour of Lake Wilson with proceeds going to deferring the cost of bringing in this pond management specialist to Hawaii. The total amount needed to be raised is $3,000.00

This Bridge to Bridge Tour of Lake Wilson will take place on October 23, 2011 and tickets will be sold at next weekends Fishing and Seafood Festival ( HFFA display booth ). The tour is limited to the first 100 participants, 50 at 10:00 am, 50 at 11:30 am. First come first serve basis. First group must be at the park by 9:30 am.

Children under the age of 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. $10.00 per person donation. Again, all proceeds going to enhance and perpetuate the fisheries at Lake Wilson for future fisherman. All tour riders must have a valid freshwater fishing license and entry permit
( license and permits will be available at the Fishing and Seafood Festival ). No refunds. For more information contact Lance # 927-3264

This is a great way for those who have never been on Lake Wilson to see 350 acres of the largest body of freshwater in Hawaii and to learn about the history of the lake and be introduced to the recreational fishing opportunities that Lake Wilson provides.

Don't forget to go down and check this event out, unless you're fishing of course! I hear it usually has a great turn out. This will be your one chance to get a bout tour of Lake Wilson for only $10.00 with a valid fishing license.
