Looking to buy a tenkara rod. Can't afford a new one yet. Anyone selling one?

There are 2 places that I know of.
http://www.tenkarausa.com
And
http://www.allfishingbuy.com/Tenkara-Rods.htm

The difference is $130 to $60. Just remember, when it comes to fishing tackle...
you get what you pay for. I have rods from both places
and I enjoy fishing each rod... but if you place them side by side,
it's easy to see the difference.

Before you buy anything, read the stuff Tenkara Bum wrote about the testing he did...
it really helps you figure out what style rod to buy.
I have a 13.6 foot 6:4 rod, and a 13 foot 5:5 rod.

One more option: Fountainhead tenkara tenkaraflyfish.webs.com/tenkararods.htm

tenkarabum describes them as better than the all fishing buy rods but still not as nice as TenkaraUSA. But they have an entry level model for just $45. Seriously thinking about buying one.

I've heard of those rods...
Perhaps we should all get together and "test" the different rods.

Ok, I just ordered the Fountainhead Caddis 11' 5:5. I'll post a review after I have a chance to test it out. As you mentioned Stan, side by side comparison would be very valuable. In the name of science, of course.

I was watching one of the tenkara videos and the guy pulled in the bottom segment to cast a shorter pole. Then pulls it back put when hooks fish. Have you guys ever tried that?

I ordered a tenkara wakata. It's not supposEd to be as good as the amago. Which I really Wont be able to tell since it's my first tenkara. It was made in japan and I wonder if it differs because others are made on china.
