 :? :o  :D
I had no idea there were so many kinds of bass.
If you want information about "Bass".... any kind of Bass.
This is the website to visit.

http://www.bassfishing-gurus.com/

If the word "Bass" is in a fishes name, they have everything you ever wanted to know about that kind of bass. Largemouth bass, Kelp bass,
Peacock bass, Shoal bass, bass I've never even heard of......

Go the the web site and click on Bass Species...
Then click on Peacock Bass...
Then click on Butterfly Peacock Bass.
Then read all about it....
Then.... in the upper right hand corner of the page is a little box "Peacock Bass", with an index to lots more information.
Everything from it's introduction, feeding habits, tackle recommendations,
to how to fish for them in each season of the year....

It's amazing. And they have the same information about all the other kinds of bass.
(Oh, and there is also lots of other neat stuff)
I give this site 5-stars.
:D :D :D :D :D

Great info Stan, mahalo. I always thought the New Guinea (Niugini) Bass (Lutjanus goldiei) would make a nice addition to the lake. They get up to 30 pounds!

Stan,

Thanks for the information - also found it to be informative and added the link to the HFFA website as a resource.
