Watch the TV News tonight....
Sunday.... 10:00 PM, TV NEWS (9:30 on KFIVE)

KFIVE, KGMB, or KHNL

Mina Sugimoto will have a report tonight at 10:00 PM on the plans to fix the broken outlet. She spoke with DLNR head Willian Aina who hopes repair work on the dam will begin this week. They were just waiting for parts to arrive. :D

So hopefully, the lake will be rising in a few days. (unless you have a lite little boat, using the boat ramp is not going to be easy)

I couldn't get my trailer bunks under the water this afternoon and getting the boat out was a muddy undertaking.

Awesome news! Mahalo Stan. William Aila is a personal friend, and a real fisherman so I have high hopes for him as head of DLNR.

Good work, Stan

I agree, I've also known Bill Aina a long time. Many people are happy with him as head of DLNR. I'm glad that Minna was able to gather all the information and let us know what's going on. Peter got some great video of the lake....
I think all the boaters are relieved at the good news.
:D

Thanx Stan! Did anyone do a lake clean up before? Right now would be a good time! Kind of embarrassing to have all that trash on the news there was a whole bunch of grocery carts batteries you name it in this river!

Mahalo Stan for bringing some attention to the situation. I did launch my 16' tracker on Sunday, afternoon. But it was pretty sketchy, to do it i had to drop my trailer off the end of the slats into the mud, ditto it was a muddy mess. Only attempted it since the boat is pretty light and I had 4wd.
