don't know if this is related to the dead fish, but last wednesday went up to a couple of spots on the lake, plus the boat ramp, and didn't see a SINGLE red devil, and very little of those small cichlids. usually, you'll see them a lot of them everywhere. saw very few tucs, too, altho i caught a small half pounder on the ramp. there must have been some changes in the lake conditions, but i can't figure out what. anybody hear or notice anything else?

This has got me worried. I'm gonna fish for a couple hours later on today and see what's going on.

After fishing for a bit yesterday, here are my observations
Only saw one tuc cruise by me in a spot where I normally see at least 4 small schools of tucs every time I fish.
Like you, I didn't see any red devils. This spot normally holds at least a dozen of them, including a "white devil" that I see every time I go there. Could this be related to the schooling red devils that I saw a few weeks ago? Maybe they were gathering to commit mass suicide!!!
I did not see any dead fish
I did not smell any dead fish
I saw many small cichlids and baby peacocks (sigh of relief!)
Saw a couple of nice sized carp
Although I didn't catch any, I saw a couple of guys catch a couple of nice tucs.

Tuesday I went as far up the south fork as the tressel.... didn't see any dead fish (I was told they were catfish) but I did smell some dead stuff.
Only saw 3 red devils all day. Talked to a guy who caught 7 tukes, we only fished for about an hour with live bait. Caught 2.
Water is really low. Down about 3 feet or more from last Friday.
Saw lots of bait and baby tukes in the very shallow areas around points.
