Hey fellow anglers

The company that I work for moved me out to the island from California. Bass fishing is my favorite hobby and I am looking for some advice about fishing lake Wilson. I am still a college student so I am on a budget ( doing an engineering internship this summer).

Is there much accesability to fish the body of water from the bank? If so I am not asking anyone to give up their favorite sports but to just lead me into a direction where I can have a chance of catching a few fish.

Where is a good spot to buy tackle?

any other information you might have that could help me out I would appreciate it!

If anyone has an extra seat on their boat I would be more than happy to pay for gas and lunch or something of that sort.

Thanks!

What up man?! Many people fish at/near the Wahiawa Fresh Water Park boat ramp. Another less crowded spot is in the area of Wilikina Dr./Kunia Rd. Google Earth is your friend. Sports Authority has a better selection of freshwater tackle than Wally World. Most mail order thru BPS or Cabela's. Check out the "Lures & Flyes" page on here to see what is effective for this lake. http://www.hawaiibassfishing.com/default.asp?nc=7497&id=38

You might want to check out Brian's Fishing Supply on South King St.

Lots of times his prices are better than SA.
Brians a fisherman and he can talk fishing.
