Hi,
I really like the forum you guys have going here.
Lots of good info about Lake Wilson.
I've fished freshwater a bunch on the mainland as a military brat, and used to freedive alot here at home, and now want to get my kids fishing.
Can someone give me info on what is required (registration/fees/boat safety class, or whatever else) to bring a small (10ft) boat in Lake wilson?
Do I need to register/number a boat just for freshwater use?
Do they make you wear life jackets, or just have them in the boat?
I've already called a couple state numbers that couldn't give me a straight answer, they only knew what was needed for ocean boating.
What I already found out. (please correct me if I'm wrong)
1. Trailer must be registered/insured
2. Need freshwater fishing license and Wahiawa permit.
3. Life jackets
Sorry for all the questions, and thanks for any help.
New to forum introduction and a couple questions please.

trailer registered, insurance is covered by the tow vehicle.boat supposed to be registered and theres a ramp fee sticker for the trailer. freshwater licence and entry permit that can obtained at sports authority and some satellite city halls, the dlnr website has the licence you can buy and printout but not the permit, ive personally never been asked for the entry permit only the licence. life preservers for everyone is a must and i believe state law says anyone under 12 is required to wear the jacket while out,not sure though on that part. good luck out there!
