Tenkara. Any one do this type of fishing?

Anyone here doing this type of fishing?
If any of you guys are doing Tenkara, I'd like to see how it's done.

Funny you mentioned this the other week when I was catching a lot of tucs I brought my 11 foot telescopic halalu pole in the late evening and put power pro line on it and put a talapia right in the school and broke my pole first try. Maybe 4lb tuc Was funny until my pole snapped. Could see that idea with the fly would be fun no drag!

I've used an 8 foot telescoping pole for red devils..... goood fun. I don't know how it would hold up to a tuke. That must be why they recomend no line heavier than 4# test..... to safe the pole. :lol:

I use a 10' ultralight noodle rod on 'Awa'awa, awesome fun. Used same rod for smallmouth bass in streams, very fun. Took this same rod to Lake Shasta one year and caught a 12 pound Channel Cat with it, took 30 minutes to reel in. :shock:
