What kind of fish is thes?
Got these pictures from Mark White.....
I was just thinking: "I wonder what kind of fish this is?"
Then I notices that Mark was asking me the same question.
I don't know.... any of you guys have any ideas?
All I know is that it's a saltwater fish.

BTW, that looks like a coolah of good grinds!
Aside from the mu and the enenue, it looks like there's also a munu and an uku in the coolah!
I'll take the munu please...you can keep the rest

I wondered how long it would take you to figure out what it was Ken.
Good job. I guess those Mark White Lures work pretty good.
It's about 10:00 PM here.... don't you ever sleep? It must be 2 or 3 in the morning on the East Coast.
Aloha,
Stan

Well, it took me long enough...it WAS 2am I think...
Nah...didn't take long...took maybe 5-10 minutes of searching and looking at pictures.
I was up to finish reading a research paper at 2am. I think I went to bed about I found the identity of the fish.

Yup, a type of Enenue. I see those out at Moku Manu diving quite often but hard to believe they hit a Mark White lure since they like all Enenue are herbivorous though I have caught them on cut Ika. Verify with Mark what he caught it on.
I just noticed he had a MU in the cooler as well as what looks like a tail of a Munu so I'm guessing none of these fish were caught on artificials.
