Someone stole my 2.5 HP Suzuki outboard from my workshop Friday night. They came only for the outboard because nothing else taken.
If anyone sees anyone trying to sell this outboard, call HPD and they can check the serial number I gave them.
I will be out of commision for a while till I get another motor.
Hope to be fishing soon.

We'll keep an eye out. What color? Keep checking Craigslist often. Some stolen outboards have turned up there last week.

The motor is black. I don't think this 2.5 HP is sold much here.
When I bought it from M I Marine, the owner said he hasn't sold one
of these "egg beater" motors in years.
Thanks for responding roadwarrior.

See you out there fishing soon!

Basbass, I didn't figure out how to post picture on this forum yet.
Since I fish alone most of the time, no need for camera expertise.
It was stolen in Aiea. I took it off the boat and put in my workshop so it wasn't too visable. They must have been staking out my place just for the motor. They came on Thursay night and took only the motor.
They didn't take any tools, throlling motor, or tackle box that was near.
It was a 6 month old Suzuki w/ 2.5 letters on the rear of the cover.

Anyway, I don't let other peoples irresponsible action spoil my fun, so
I will pick up another motor soon. I'll be back fishing next week for sure.

Thanks for your attention.

I have a motor just like it that I use on my canoes a 2.5hp. 4 stroke. I bought mine over a year ago from a eBay seller in Florida which turned out to be half the price of the only one available on island at the time. I'll keep my eyes peeled.
Here's what one looks like if it's like mine:

They are great little motors if you're not in a rush to get anywhere.

Make sure you have the new motor locked up somewhere else. Locks will only prevent the honest people from stealing it!

ssminow, it was probably a one man job. Thats all he/she could carry. Now that they seen what you got he/she may be back. Whats funny is a small outboard like that could only be used as a kicker for the flats or at lake wilson. More than likely it will turn up somewhere. I've been looking on craigslist to keep an eye out for it.

I got me a new boat. Its an old p-14 i wanted something that i could go out on the lake and troll inshore salt water fishing as well. i'm going to see if i can have it ready for the tourny on nov 8. I hope so sounds like lots of fun.

Aloha,
