That really sucks! Thanks State of Hawaii for denying my little nephew the chance for him to get hooked on freshwater fishing like his Uncle. No more catfish for our future generations to catch and just to have a great outdoors experience.

Fresh&Salty... you are correct.... NO CAT FISHING.

Catfish was supposed to start last weekend, but due to the budget crisis, no one is allowed overtime so there is no one to take care of the weekend openings. All options are being discussed as to how to provide that service without acquiring overtime. Ultimately, the decision will be up to the Chairperson.

I guess they will have to fish at the lake. Now that the water level is so low at Lake Wilson it is easy to get to lots of good places to fish. I see people fishing and catching over across from Boy Scout Island.
