Bridge to Bridge Tour of Lake Wilson

Postby shanai » Sat Oct 01, 2011 2:13 pm

The HFFA plans to sponsor a pond management specialist to assess the status of Lake Wilson who will provide a management plan and recommendations on how to improve and sustain the freshwater fisheries at Lake Wilson.

To help defer the the costs, estimated at $3,000.00; the HFFA hopes to sell guided one hour boat tours of Lake Wilson. The bridge to bridge tours will take people up to the north bridge and back. This is a great way for those who have never been on Lake Wilson to see 350 acres of the largest body of freshwater in Hawaii. Tour guests will learn about the history of the lake and be introduced to the recreational fishing opportunities that Lake Wilson provides.

This Bridge to Bridge Tour of Lake Wilson will take place on October 23, 2011 and tickets will be sold at next weekends Fishing and Seafood Festival - ( October 9th pier 38 9-4 p.m. HFFA display booth ). The tour is limited to the first 100 participants, 50 at 10:00 am, 50 at 11:30 am. First come first serve basis. First group must be at the park by 9:30 am.

Children under the age of 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. $10.00 per person donation. Again, all proceeds going to enhance and perpetuate the fisheries at Lake Wilson for future fisherman. All tour riders must have a valid freshwater fishing license and entry permit ( license and permits will be available at the Fishing and Seafood Festival ). No refunds. For more information contact Lance # 927-3264

Thanks

Steve :)

This is one reason I support and joined the HFFA. They are an organization that cares about the fishery at Lake Wilson. Their hard work benefits ALL fishermen of the lake. If you're a bank fisherman, this is a great opportunity to see all of the lake and learn of several great fishing spots, plus you'd be supporting a great venture of getting Lake Wilson in top shape as a fishery!
Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after. ~ Henry David Thoreau
