Greetings All,
Had a great time helping out at the hatchery! Met a bunch of wonderful anglers.
Just wanted to thank all, but a espacially a couple foks:
Lance - Your dedication is impressive. It was a pleasure helping getting the old pool out of the building, looking forward to building you a couple of bass rods.
Crash - Your cooking and your family help was top notch. My wife Sheila and I, loved that pulled pork and baked beans.
Stan - Your always the man. Hope the pictures come out great.
The really nice gentleman that lost his son last week on the big island (military son), we both send our condolence and prayers.
Bottom line - all the volunteers stood out. Great to see people help out and care about their local fishery.
Looking forward to put the (2) raffle packages together, and building 4 give a way rods. I still think Stan and Lance rigged the raffle.
Mel - Kahuna bass
Darkside rod builder needing to get all the above done in two months.

If you ain't fish'n, you ain't have'n fun...Got fish!
Thank you! Thank you !! Thank you!!! again to
all that came out to the hatchery today to help clean up the grounds
and do a "little light" ground work filling in the pond
and cleaning the grounds. Did not mean to mislead
anyone about the work involved but many hands made
the work quicker. ('')
With the help of volunteers, we were also able to remove
and then install a new breeding tank.
The effort from all that came will greatly help the LMB
hatchery improve their program and ultimately
perpetuate and sustain bass fishing at the Lake
for everyone. I know that James really appreciates
the help today.
Thanks to Crash and his family for providing lunch
to everyone, the pulled pork sandwiches were delicious.
Thanks Mel for offering the custom fishing rods and
fishing packs to lucky volunteers. Thanks to Stan -
"you da man" for all that you do to sustain fishing in
Hawaii. Thanks to Trout Unlimited ( http://www.tuhi.org/ )
and HFFA ( https://sites.google.com/site/hffa808/ ) members for refreshments and bringing your members out and
lastly special thanks to all the recreational fishermen
and their families not affiliated with any group or club
that were interested enough to take the time to come
and help out with the cleaning. We plan to do more
projects ( hopefully less light work ) helping
the hatchery in the future and we hope that you will
all join us again. ('')
