Yes it is a nice boat and he's a very nice guy and an excellent angler too. I won't say his name, but maybe he will if he reads your post. He is a forum member.

The Skeeter is mine. It is a 1998 ZX-176c that originally had a 150 HP Vmax outboard on it. I bought it on Craigslist in 2007 from a guy in Halawa. It needed a lot of TLC at the time. Beside all the cosmetic work, the trolling motor was weak and the batteries were shot. Did not have any electronics either.

Thanks for the kind words Skunked.

You keep the boat in beautiful condition... looks like brand new.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the comments.

Next project is to work on the trailer. New bunks and repaint. Wish I could borrow a trailer for a week to stow the boat on.

I use a product called "Bass Boat Saver". It's a cleaner and wax combination. You need to clean your boat really well and apply a couple of coats of the stuff. Then every time you use the boat, just wipe it down with a damp towel and the Bass Boat Saver. The red dirt will still stain the boat but a lot slower. When it gets too bad, I strip the wax off, clean it really good and start over again. If the scum line isn't too bad, I can usually get the boat wiped down while I flush the motor. Yeah I know it's fresh water but I still flush the outboard each time I use it.

Funny you mention BBS. I use Bow To Stern (BTS) on mine. Still gets stained but easier to clean up. Let's not get into those BBS vs. BTS battles like on the mainland forums! Haha.

I think both products work equally well. I bought the BBS because you can get free shipping. The only problem is you have to buy at least 5 gallons so it's lasted me nearly 4 years and I still haven't used half.

I saw your posts on Bass Boat Central and knew it was you when you posted a picture of your Stratos.

Obviously, being in the middle of the Pacific has it's disadvantages to us freshwater anglers.

Would it be to much to ask to see all of your boats? Maybe this should be another thread.
