Reel for sale (not free!)

Postby skunked » Tue Feb 08, 2011 4:07 pm

I have a like-new Shimano Scorpion 1001MG for sale. I am asking for $180 on a mainland based forum, but I am offering it here for $165. I know there's not much of a market here for this reel, but I figured I'd try. Less hassle than shipping it to the mainland.
It has a tiny nick on the lip in front of the line guide and is pictured with a Curado 101D handle. I can put the original handle back on if you'd prefer.

Skunked,

Nice fishing reel!! I have a few of the older 4X4's and they are fantastic finese reels!!

If it wasn't a left hand model, it would be sold!!

I was thinking the handle on the left, like a spinning reel, might be good.

My only casting rod for bass I got left handed since I was so used to spinning rods. I am right handed and felt more natural to me to wind with my weak hand. I did try a left hand fly reel but since it was not a multiplier reel winding was slower so stuck to right hand retrieve there.

I was successful in selling the reel to a guy from New Jersey of all places! He said he can't even fish it until the weather gets better. Lucky we live Hawaii.
