Spoke with someone today that reports good luck catching big peacock this week fishing deep, slow, and close to shore. He felt the peacock bass were geting ready to spawn and were deep, just out of site, along the shore. By working crank baits, tube lures, and sinking flys on sinking line... they were geting the reaction strikes. Big aggressive fish angered by something invading their space.
