Well, it started out with the peacock bass fishing on the first weekend... we'll get to see it one of these days. Here is what's on for the rest of the month.

This FEBRUARY 2008 on Let¹s Go Fishing
WEEK 1
[All new!]
Sunday, FEBRUARY 3, on KHON and Saturday, FEBRUARY 9 on CW 93:
First fishing destination: Lake Wilson on the island of O¹ahu
with Stan Wright and friends. Fathers and sons from the Jung, Leong, and
Lovett families enjoy an afternoon of peacock bass ³catch and release²
action.
Second fishing destination: Can¹t tell youŠ it¹s top secret.
But the gang from Airgas Gaspro is, again, up to their nighttime fishing fun
at the end of the workday. And wouldn¹t you know itŠ there¹s a Samoan crab
or two to see when you go torching with these guys.
WEEK 2
[All new!]
Sunday, FEBRUARY 10, on KHON and Saturday, FEBRUARY 16 on CW 93:
First fishing destination: The shallow shoreline waters off the
island of Kauai. The Nishiokas and Glenn Ikemoto are continuing the family
tradition of fishing together with young Nishioka daughter Natalie. This
nature walk at night includes lobsters, crabs, tako, and much moreŠ
Second fishing destination: The ocean waters between the island
of Niihau and Nawiliwili harbor on Kauai. The Goodfellow Construction
vessel, the Taipan II, with Captain Steve Yamasaki and crew, is sharing with
us an extended trip, which includes both bottom and blue water fishing
action.
WEEK 3
[All new!]
Sunday, FEBRUARY 17, on KHON and Saturday, FEBRUARY 23, on CW 93:
First fishing destination: The ocean just outside of Honokohau
Harbor on the Big Island of Hawai¹i. The winners of the LGF/Corona/Foodland
Fishing Contest are spending the day with Captain Tim Hicks on The
Illusions. Lucky Tom Quan, is good at winning supermarket contestsŠ and his
luck holds up for catching fish, too!
Second fishing destination: Kaneohe Bay on the island of O¹ahu.
Kent and Keith Nishioka are throwing net for mullet. The kids, Lindsey
Matsunaga and Cameron Lai, are spear fishing for white eel and weke. Lots
of fun on this patch reef after the sun goes downŠ
WEEK 4
[All new!]
Sunday, FEBRUARY 24, on KHON and Saturday, MARCH 1, on CW 93:
Fishing destination: The ocean around the Marquesas Islands.
Craig Mitchell, Roger Yokoyama, and Mike Hirohata spend 6 days on the Lady
Chris 4 fishing vessel, here in this remote area of Tahiti. The trolling
action here is an once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our host George Moarii,
and his crew, shows us that 10 strikes an hour is not uncommon when you drag
lures in the ocean in this part of the world.
