Boat Ramp Improvements

Postby Stan Wright » Fri Aug 21, 2015 9:41 am

Was up at the lake this week and the Aquatics division was taking measurements around the boat ramp… We should be seeing some improvements in the next few months. Fenders along the wall to keep our boats from scraping and bumping against the concrete wall… and also some cleats to tie up the boats. I didn't realize how the ground under the ramp has been washed away over the years and is undermining the ramp. That too is in the works for being fixed.
Sounds good to me.

That picture was taken on Wed… on Sat, the lake level had dropped 2 feet… wonder what it is this morning… Monday, after all that rain?

My first thought on seeing those logs was… "What great targets for tomahawk throwing". After a few test throws… that wood is hard as a brick… not good at all for throwing a tomahawks. :(
