Kauai Trout Fishing

Any one fish opening weekend? How did it go at Pu'uloa?

I haven't heard anything from Kauai about the trout fishing. Boy Scout camp is going there right now and I know the boys like to hike over and fish for trout.

I'll have a Kauai trout report in late July. Decided to just fly over and find out for ourselves.

In 2 hours, we caught 1. Only 8" and we threw everything we had at them. Very warm day at the reservoir, have no idea why they don't have open trout season in winter months.
