What Is the name of the crawfish in the lake, saw my first one at the ramp yesterday and thought I found an alien. Thanks for any info.

You likely ran into a crawfish - introduced to the Islands way back when. Also called crayfish.

Haha. Got it. Just didnt look like any crawdad ive ever seen had really long skinny pinchers are there prawns in the lake?

Ok figured it out it was a freshwater prawn that I saw. Big one too. Is there a certain time of year the fish ket in on crawdads and prawns?

Prawns like crawfish were also introduced into Hawaii and like other alien species, escaped their original habitat and are now found in most streams.
I've never seen a prawn in Lake Wilson but not surprised that you found one. There's all kinds of creatures in that lake.

And as roadwarriorsvt would say: dinner ! - (but maybe not the ones found in the lake)

Crawdad Parasites

The Crawdads that were introduced from the mainland are dark red with orange spots and have fat pinchers. They are known to carry Rat Lungworm and Lung Fluke parasites which can infect humans.

I would not eat any....
