Clown Knife fish

Postby shanai » Mon Sep 10, 2012 7:55 pm

A clown knife fish was caught by an HFFA member and taken to the hatchery.
May have been half of a spawning pair as there were two of them when this one was caught. This fish is supposed to be nocturnal, unusual but kinda cool looking fish although probably something that we wouldn't want to get established in the lake.

I'm thankful he removed it from the lake, hopefully before they spawned.

I think this is the same kind of fish that Chris caught....

Has anyone here ever caught a Arowana in the Lake? I have heard there is a fishable population though I've never seen one.

Curious: did Chris catch his clown knife fish in Lake Wilson? Information on this fish reveals that it can get fairly large in the wild - over 3 feet in length.

I wonder what other exotic creatures are lurking around in the lake

steve

If there were a population then we probably would have seen them by now. They mostly stay near the surface and are know for jumping out of the water.
All day I dream about fishing
