Does anyone have any information about salt lake near the honking country club regarding if there is fish in there or if you can fish there?

There use to be fish in there... many years ago. Go for it. It's better to ask forgiveness than to ask permission.

The water is very hard to get too. The grass has grown so far out into the lake. I've tried lol.....

There is fish in there, not sure what kind though. The grass is very far into the water. The times I have tried, we couldń get to the water. We see fish in there like fish jumping

Salt Lake used to be loaded with papio & ulua. Years ago the lake pretty much covered the whole bottom of the crater. When developers started filling in the lake to make the golf course a group of fishermen went in and netted as much of of fish as they could and caught literally a ton of ulua. I used to have an old black and white picture of the fishermen and their catch. If I find it I'll post it.

FYI Old Hawai'i mythology was that Aliapa'akai aka Salt Lake was bottomless. When someone finally took a measurement they discovered it was quite shallower averaging about 3 feet.
