Thailand Fishing Adventure.

Postby Stan Wright » Sat Apr 28, 2012 9:07 pm

There is a new Face Book site...
"Hawaii Bass Fishing"

Chris posted a BUNCH of pictures of his recent Thailand Fishing Trip for Giant Snakehead... and a bunch of other strange stuff.
They fished several lakes and stayed in a "floating house" right on the water.

What you saw was just a part of over 1000 pictures that Chris took.
I'm trying to get him to put captions so we can get a better idea of what's going on in the picture.

Hey Stan, where did Chris go?

I went to Cheow Lan Lake (Khao Sok N.P.) near Surat Thani in 2010. That was a lot of fun. I'm still owing everyone a report...it's getting there but far from written :?

It was awesome staying in those bamboo floating huts. You can literally fish out the window since there could be fish hiding just under the bamboo structure. Malayan Leaffish, Tinfoil Barb, Giant Gourami and Bronze Featherback were pretty common catches for me.

Awesome Clown Knifefish and Striped Snakehead. I saw on Facebook that Chris landed a number of Giant Snakeheads too! Nice! My one and only hooked managed to come off as I was lifting it into the boat. Missed an 8lber that blew up on my buzzbait...still seeing that nightmare today. :(

Next time I'm in the area, I'm going to spend a few more days and fish a whole lot more. :D

Ask Chris to take you next time.
Caution - Objects in picture are smaller than they appear.

I am genetically predisposed to make fish look bigger than they really are.

Is that a daiwa t3 ballistic reel I see? Those things are NICE...they seriously do cast further than any reel I've ever used...it's not just a gimic.
