Hey Stan, what was the weight of that Papio/Ulua?

surfspot, have you tried your smallest lures for red devils yet? Stan may have tried. I have caught Tilapia in the stream below my house on the 1/8 and 1/4 oz. Since Red Deveils are Cichlids like Tilapia I would think they'd hit them. I used a slow retrieve, swimming a 6"- a foot below the surface.

You guys got me thinking about some good variations on this theme. I'll try your ideas and let you know the results here. Aloha, Mark
