Don't get me wrong I totally agree that aquatic veg would be a huge benifit for numerous reasons. In actuality, lake wilson is a pretty good fishery for both tucs and bass. Most lakes throught the US do not have every key factor to being a perfect fishery. There is always going to be something "out ...

From what I understand the red devil population increase coincided with the crwfish decrease. In my opinion the that is probably the largest affect the red devils had on the largemouth. Largemouth bass do best in water that is about 60 to 78 degrees. I believe that is their prime temperature for gro...

Duckett Micro Magic Rod, Lews Tour. SS, Loomis GL2 DS Review

So last week was an expensive week as far as fishing equipment went for me. I lost a $350 Team Daiwa Zillion reel that was paired with an All Star ASR jerkbait rod that fell off the boat Additionally, I broke my St. Croix Mojo Bass rod that I used for shakey heads and sometimes for Drop shotting. To...

Is that a daiwa t3 ballistic reel I see? Those things are NICE...they seriously do cast further than any reel I've ever used...it's not just a gimic.

What part of Cali will he be in? If it's close to where I grew up (Ventura) I could hook him up with the guy I learned to bass fish from. He lives near Lake Casitas and Lake Castaic and has been fishing that area for 40 years. Also, know a few good sportfishing boats he could get on (don't have hook...

Those standout hooks are nice! But they do tend to tangle worse than the regular mosquito type hooks when you hook a fish. But I think the way they keep the worm nose down outweighs the way they tangle. Haven't tried those DS hooks with the little swivels on them but I just don't like the idea of it...

Clarks Hill Tournament

Fished a tournament this Saturday and it was tough! there were 279 bass boats and it was a team tourney so I'm guessing around 550 anglers since some people fish solo. They paid out to the 27th spot, well I didn't cut a check :( I pre fished Tuesday to Friday and had a pretty solid patern going that...

The boat looks amazing!

I'm put my vote in for a mercury two stoke!

Had my 20ft bass boat going 70mph (gps reading) today! 225 Mercury Pro XS!

In actuality a 4 stroke probably makes more sense for lake wilson/hawaii. Hard to find ethanol free gas there.

Maybe you guys with livewells could look into selling/trading the large red devils. The big ones are pretty valuable in the aquarium trade...sometimes up to $50 for the large fish. Out here in ga I've seen breeding pairs of jaguar chiclids go for $150. Not as common at wilson as the red devils obvio...

Best jig heads I've found for the a rig a 1/8th darter heads. It's semi easy to cast with thoses. There a few companies that make the 1/8th oz darter heads with 3/0 hooks. I've set my a rigs up a few ways but I like it the best with 1/8oz jig heads so far. I've tried the 3/8 jwill jig heads and by t...

If I hadn't ever watched Jose catching bonefish on the fly I may never have ended up catching them myself out on the Hickam flats. He was definitely one of the best TV fishing host and I will definately miss watching his show.
