If you ask me the lake needs a very fast reproducing fish that is worth a crap that can out compete the cichlids and become a food source for the bass.

I caught one over 8oz. on a beetle spin a couple months ago. I see them swimming around from time to time in the structure but have only caught a few.

The middle school has been very sucessful at breeding the guys.

Smallmouth bass??????????

Does anyone have a pic of a smallmouth bass taken from Wilson? I have heard for years they are in there but have yet to catch one. I even went all the way up North fork and ended up catching largemouth. I have tried and tried with no luck. Im about ready to hit up Monoa stream. I heard they are there?

Here are a couple of the tucs from Saturday. Had a couple more and the red devils were hitting hard. Seems like the bass are coming off the beds. I caught one of the tucs on a texas rigged worm again. Notice the tag in the second fish? I know Stan mentioned it but I didnt know they were tagging alre...

Well thats a crappy law that they cant even go into a live well until you get them revived. I would not have been in trouble though because of the boat I was using. Some might know of it. It is used for collecting from Wilson. I also wanted measurements.

I mainly deal with rare plecos now to include L46. I have dealt with breeding alot of cichlids in the past such as Apistogrammas, firemouths, Jack Dempseys, convicts, Brichardis, Tropheus, and many others but I am currently looking to set up a North American fish tank in my 150 Gallon. I have downsi...

I do raise a bunch of different types of fish. I raise more rare stuff though. I have to much money in mine to be throwing them in a lake. Besides Wilson is a poster child for not dumping fish. I think they should do a shock program to remove or reduce the cichlids numbers. The bait fish would tripl...

04 Feb 07 good day

Seeing how it was the coldest night all year the day prior getting in the 50's I thought It came out good. I missed alot of LM bass strikes and had one throw the hook at the boat. The smaller of the two P bass had a hook hanging out of his buthole. Sharp end still in. It slid right out no problem bu...
